Kathrine Brandt is a Danish singer and early music specialist. She studied baroque singing and historical performance at the Akademie für Alte Musik Bremen with Harry von der Kamp, and later pursued postgraduate studies in early music at the Civica Scuola di Musica in Milan under Cristina Miatello, Roberto Gini, and Pedro Memelsdorff.
Her repertoire spans the late Middle Ages, Renaissance, and Baroque periods, and she also performs on the viol.
Kathrine appears regularly as both a soloist and ensemble member at festivals and concerts across Europe, including performances in Copenhagen, Milan, Utrecht, Vilnius, and Vienna.
Alongside her performing career, she is active as a vocal coach and workshop leader, specializing in ensemble singing. She is a founding member of the Gavnø Barokfestival and a long-standing faculty member at the Monteverdi Madrigal Week.

He was born in Namibia and studied economics and classical languages at Stellenbosch University, where he began vocal training with Virginia Oosthuizen and Gerda Hartmann. He continued his studies in International Relations at the University of Cambridge, singing as a member and soloist with the Trinity College Choir on international tours and recordings.
Further vocal studies followed at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Monika Lenz, where he performed as a countertenor soloist in works such as Handel’s Messiah, Gluck’s Orfeo, and Schumann’s Dichterliebe across Europe, Russia, South Africa, and Namibia.
From 1998, he studied early music singing with Evelyn Tubb at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, later as a baritone.
Additional training included work with Markus Haas (Canto funzionale) and master classes with Gundula Janowitz, as well as observing classes with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Elisabeth Schwarzkopf, Hans Hotter, and Brigitte Fassbaender. His graduation concert at the Schola was awarded “excellent diploma.”
Between 2003 and 2020, he was a member of the renowned ensemble Singer Pur, performing worldwide in over 40 countries and contributing to three Echo Klassik awards. He is active as a workshop leader for vocal ensembles and open singing, co-directs the course MoMo (stage presence and communication) at the Schola Cantorum, and works as a freelance singer, vocal coach, teacher, and choir director.
